As we have entered the first week of 2016, make it your determined purpose to set aside time
for the Lord! Resist being caught up in the routine and distractions of daily life. Just like your
computer, tablet, or cell phone needs to be charged for continual usage; so your body, soul and
spirit desperately needs to be refreshed, restored, and recharged by the power of the Holy
Spirit! Determine to plug in everyday to the presence of God by quieting your soul in resting,
reading the Bible, waiting / listening, journaling, worshipping, and praying!
My challenge to you this month is this… how about striving to give God equal time that you
would spend on those technical devices including social media, television and socializing! Let’s
get ready to soar!
Isaiah 40:28-31 KJV
“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord , the Creator of
the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the
youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon
the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run,
and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
